# Why PJ Continues to Be One of New Jersey's Best Places to Work
*How we work matters as much as what we create.*
At Phillip Jeffries, we've always believed that great design starts with great people. We are thrilled to be named one of New Jersey's Best Places to Work, earning the No. 10 spot among large companies in 2026.
And this year, [NJBIZ named Phillip Jeffries one of New Jersey's Best Places to Work](https://njbiz.com/njbiz-best-places-to-work-new-jersey-2026/) for the seventh time! This recognition reflects the culture we've intentionally built over the past 50 years, one grounded in purpose, teamwork, growth, and a shared commitment to excellence.
From our headquarters in New Jersey to our showrooms and teams around the world, every milestone we achieve is made possible by the people behind it. We are honored by this recognition and grateful to every employee who helps make Phillip Jeffries what it is today. What began with ten grasscloths in a family garage has grown into a global company serving designers in nearly 100 countries. Yet while our reach has expanded (See our new Charleston showroom below!), our focus has remained the same: creating a company where people can do meaningful work, grow professionally, and genuinely enjoy the journey.
We have long believed that success is measured by more than sales or awards. It is reflected in the relationships we build, the opportunities we create, and the culture we foster every day. As our company has grown to more than 400 team members, we have worked just as hard to preserve the values and traditions that make Phillip Jeffries unique.

Culture isn't built through mission statements alone. It's created through shared experiences. At PJ, some of our most beloved traditions center around bringing people together. From Spirit Week and company-wide celebrations to volunteer events and team-building activities, we make time to connect, celebrate accomplishments, and enjoy the people we work alongside. As we often say, we work hard, but we also like to have fun at work. These traditions help strengthen the teamwork, collaboration, and sense of belonging that remain at the heart of the company today.
Built Around Purpose
Our Great & Worthy Purpose, *Inspiring a More Beautiful World, One Wall at a Time*, extends well beyond the products we create. It influences how we support one another, how we serve our customers, and how we engage with our communities.
Every employee receives paid volunteer time each year, and through initiatives ranging from community service projects to global sustainability efforts, our team is empowered to make a positive impact both inside and outside the workplace. Whether planting trees through our Arbor Day Foundation partnership, supporting local organizations, or contributing to charitable causes, giving back is part of who we are.
