# Designer Alexandra Kidd Finds Her new Favorites in Fall 2026

Step inside Alexandra Kidd’s creative process as the designer reveals her new favorite finds from our Fall 2026 collection and how she layers them together.
For more than two decades, Sydney-based designer Alexandra Kidd, [Alexandra Kidd Interior Design](https://www.alexandrakidd.com), has created thoughtful residential interiors shaped by material, craftsmanship, and the way a space feels. We invited the founder and creative director to explore Journey, our Fall 2026 collection, and share the designs that caught her eye. “My favorite product in the current collection is [Raffia Atelier](https://www.phillipjeffries.com/shop/wallcoverings?pj_grid%5BrefinementList%5D%5Bitmclss%5D%5B0%5D=SP1001430&pj_grid%5BrefinementList%5D%5Bis_new_or_recent%5D%5B0%5D=1), a beautiful grass weave with embroidered foliage.”
For Alexandra, wallcovering is an essential part of creating a room with depth and personality. “Wallcovering for me has always been an integral part of interior design,” she said. “It is color, texture, movement. It brings in an art quality and a layer that really helps individuals connect with their space.”
Those ideas come to life in Alexandra's own schemes. Wood veneer, woven textures, plush textiles, and handcrafted details mingle in a warm, nuanced palette. “We love the exploration of heritage in the Journey collection,” Alexandra said. “The reimagining of patterns with new materiality is something that we’re quite passionate about.”

For Alexandra, the beauty is in bringing those materials together. Handmade grass weaves, timber veneers, and hand-applied gold leaf are among the finishes Alexandra admires. “They’re all incredibly beautiful sensory finishes that add a layer of jewel to our interiors,” Alexandra said. “It’s movement. It’s energy. And it creates mood.”
Pattern plays a role, too. In another scheme, the sweeping scale of Idyllic, a lush landscape mural, meets the tailored rhythm of a stripe. Wood, stone, metallic accents, and flashes of saturated color build on the mix. Rather than matching each element, Alexandra uses differences in pattern, scale, texture, and material to give the palette dimension.
And while Alexandra embraces unexpected combinations, the goal is not design for design’s sake. Wallcovering offers a way to make an interior more individual. “We think it’s the perfect element to show their personality and to create an emotional connection in their homes,” Alexandra said.

A lesson in artful layering, this scheme pairs the sweeping scale of a landscape mural with the tailored rhythm of a stripe. Rich materials, varied patterns, and unexpected color create a mix that feels collected and considered.
