Designing a Mansion for NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler
Last year, Tiffany was tasked with designing Golden State Warriors and six-time NBA all-star Jimmy Butler’s California mansion as shown in these pictures. She turned to Phillip Jeffries to help create elevated family spaces that didn’t feel too childish or trendy.
“The vision was to create a space that felt more grown-up than your typical kid’s room.

The light blue and cream mural Offset creates a modern, playful style in this room in Jimmy Butler's home. I wanted to keep it playful but not cheesy or be something they'd outgrow within a year,” she said.

Hard Work Paves The Way
Tiffany didn’t set out to be an interior designer. The path found her while she was working in property management. “They asked me to help design a model home. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I quickly fell in love with the entire process,” said Tiffany. “Then the home won an award, and I was like, okay, maybe this is what I’m actually supposed to be doing.”

Tiffany started offering free design help to clients on Craigslist to build her portfolio and gain experience and success followed quickly. “One thing led to another, referrals turned into paying clients, and before I knew it, I had my own design firm!” said Tiffany. Shortly afterwards, Tiffany won the design competition show HGTV Design Star and her future as a design star was set.

Bathroom Glow-Up

Tiffany chose the mural Beat to wrap the walls of this powder room. The free form brushstroke is enhanced and interpreted from an original piece of artwork. The large, immersive mural wallcovering may be printed on paper, grasscloth, silk, linen, authentic metallic leaf, and wide-width vinyl.

Creating A Vibe With Wallcovering
TIffany often starts with the wallcovering. For the kid's room at the top, her first design decision for the room was choosing Phillip Jeffries Rivets. Then everything else fell into place. “Rivets wallcovering brought that mature, masculine energy that I was looking for.” It gave the space this almost executive feel without being overly serious or stiff. Jimmy Butler’s mansion was Tiffany’s first time using Rivets, but she’s been collaborating with Phillip Jeffries since 2020 when she designed for House Beautiful Whole Home Concept House. She created a custom Pure Imagination using our Blur wallcovering in the suite below.

Blur is definitely a favorite of mine. It’s got a cool vibe that isn't too bold or overpowering so it can work in a lot of different spaces.”

Don’t Be Afraid To Be Weird (and Other Design Tips)

  • Tiffany believes wallcovering brings an extra layer to a space when designing rooms and she’s always looking for a new, bold way to use Phillip Jeffries. Right now, she said she loves how wallcovering looks on the ceiling

  • Tiffany loves to treat people’s home as their story and design accordingly. “To me, luxury isn’t just about a price tag, it’s about how deeply a space is tailored to you. It should reflect your quirks, your memories, your lifestyle, right down to the details.”

  • Tiffany’s recommendations for people looking to design their home is to “Edit, edit, edit. Then add one weird thing.” It’s not about having more stuff, it’s about having the right stuff and throwing in on unexpected detail to keep it fresh.
