Learn More About How HUSK Is Made
Bold yet sophisticated, this organic, textured wallcovering is handmade from large strips of authentic banana bark washed in an array of soft neutral tones.

A sustainable resource, banana trees grow in warm and humid climates. Our global network of skilled artisans harvest authentic banana bark to create beautiful wallcoverings through a multi-step process. First, the dried banana bark is hand laid to form a sheet before being washed in color. And some colorways are even washed a second time to achieve a rich depth of color. The sheets are treated with water repellent and anti-fray finishes. The material is then expertly laminated at the mill and meticulously inspected before they are packed to perfection and shipped.

Phillip Jeffries is the ultimate source for handcrafted grasscloth wallcoverings. Our range of naturals is unmatched with more than 500 hemps, raffias, arrowroots, jutes, and a variety of other grasses, most of them in stock and ready to ship.
