How It's Made: Zen Zag Washi

Written by Phillip Jeffries | Jan 24, 2023 5:37:35 PM
In the tropical forests of the Philippines, the cultural tradition of paper-making unifies a community. A village of skilled artisans use techniques passed down from one generation to the next to harvest abaca and transform it into a unique dimensional ground. In partnership with the artisans, we are proud to bring this beautiful collection to a global stage.

Our newest collection, Zen Zag Washi, is the perfect finish for a wide range of spaces and is offered in a calming palette shown below.

Wallcovering Tips For Installing Zen Zag Washi
1. Use a soft brush or cloth when hanging, so that you do not damage the face of the wallcovering.

2. DO NOT allow paste or excessive water to stain the front of the wallcovering. Both paste and excessive water will change the color of the face of the paper.
3. We suggest hanging Zen Zag Washi in the same direction, without reversing the strips, which produces the most even shading and pattern success.
4. Paste, trim and hang one strip at a time.
5. Wallcovering may be cleaned using a soft brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner

All this and more can be found in the hanging instructions. Thank you for learning more about this beautiful, handcrafted wallcovering!
