When it came to creating a festive dining room in her Brentwood, Tennessee home, interior designer Stephanie Ervin looked no further than her Phillip Jeffries wallcovering.
Ervin, who founded Stephanie Ervin Interiors and specializes in commercial design and residential interiors in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Texas, took inspiration from the boughs of magnolia on her Phillip Jeffries mural in Blossom in Taupe. The immersive digital mural showcases hand-painted authentic artwork on either paper, grasscloth, silk, linen, metallic leaf, or vinyl.
“I love the elegance of Phillip Jeffries Blossom wallcovering in my dining room. It’s the first room you enter and serves as the perfect backdrop for holiday decor,” Stephanie told PJ.
To get ready for the holidays, Stephanie complemented the arboreal theme of her walls with the deep greens and browns of pine and pinecones throughout the room. “I played off of the layered ivories in the blooms and the variations of light gray to charcoal grays in the branches,” she said.
Stephanie, who’s a master of designing spaces that feel natural, fresh, and modern, hung a gorgeous wreath from the wall mirror and then positioned a matching garland along the fireplace mantel.
“The pine needle garland with brown pinecones and white berries add fresh textures on the mantle and table,” Stephanie explained.
She also added metallic accents throughout the room. “Splashes of gold elevate the warm neutrals,” she said, noting the mantle’s gold candle holders, gold-rimmed glasses and plates, and even spray-painted berries atop the napkin holders.
She then carried the pine needle accents through to the table where she draped a garland as the centerpiece and setting for various shapes of candles. And to ensure that each guest is feeling festive, she added bouquets of pine from each chairback.
“The space feels a bit glam and earthy, similar to the feeling of the Blossom wallpaper with its grasscloth texture and beautiful blossom print,” Stephanie said.
One look around and you’re sure to feel the holiday cheer!
