HOUSE OF PJ: Steve Cordony Chooses Phillip Jeffries Wallcovering

Phillip Jeffries wallcovering sets the scene in Interior Designer Steve Cordony’s country home office.

At Phillip Jeffries, we love to find inspiration on Instagram, and one of our must-follows is Australian interior designer Steve Cordony. His classic design mixed with contemporary flair deliver a sleek, elegant finish whether it’s for a client’s house or when styling an editorial or advertising shoot. Just peep his country home, Rosedale Farm, in New South Wales. Built in 1877, he and his partner Michael Booth have been renovating it since 2017-and documenting it for all of us to see via their Instagram account @rosedale_farm.

Home Office
For his home office at Rosedale Farm, Cordony installed a Phillip Jeffries natural textured wall covering. The Belle magazine style director chose Chevron Chic in Bay Blue to add depth and warmth to his space.

"I used Phillip Jeffries Chevron Chic in the study at home," Cordony tells The Textile Company.  "The texture and pattern instantly made the space feel warm, and gave the room a subtle graphic pattern which pulled everything together."

First, he develops an image-based mood board by collecting online images of rooms and products (yes, your Pinterest board counts for this step). Then he moves to a tactile or material-based mood board. Here, he’ll place different woods, marbles, tiles, and wallcoverings together to ensure they will work well.
