Phillip Jeffries #1 Tip: Always use a fresh blade for each cut, slicing from the back.
Trouble-Shooting Tips For Linen Wallcovering
When working with linen wallcoverings, precision and care are key to achieving a flawless finish. Start by keeping the material clean—avoid getting paste on the surface or oversaturating it. Before applying adhesive, measure the room carefully, especially where seams will meet, and paste the wall only in those areas. Work one wall at a time, shading as you go, and always use a fresh blade for each cut, slicing from the back to maintain the integrity of the textile. Opt for a pre-mixed clear adhesive and begin pasting from the center outward.
When booking the linen, keep it very loose—textiles tend to fold tightly, so maintain a generous loop to prevent creasing. Use a soft brush to hang the material gently, and ensure seams are either butted together or double cut for a seamless look.
