A Summer Field Trip To Phillip Jeffries

Summer field trips are a great learning opportunity for students, which is something we are passionate about at Phillip Jeffries.

This summer, we welcomed more than 30 middle schoolers from the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton, NJ  to our corporate headquarters for a fun-filled and informative day. For the past few years, we've partnered with our local Boys & Girls Club organization to support youth development and community engagement. Read about their previous field trips here

Stepping into Phillip Jeffries offices is an immersive experience. We welcomed our guests with our signature “red carpet” greeting and the Think Big campers were able to explore our New Jersey showroom and see behind the scenes into the world of production. Campers then met the design team, saw the printing process, and learned about shipping and fulfillment. It was a holistic view into the world of wallcovering.

Here are a few highlights from their day at PJ and the wallcovering the kids created themselves!

Art Project: Radial Symmetry
We like to get the kids involved in creating a wallcovering design so this year the theme was radial symmetry art. Using oil pastels and markers, our team guided the students to experiment with bold colors and patterns. They learned about the concepts of balance and repetition that are often used in design. Their finished artworks reflected unique perspectives and showcased their creativity during this hands-on experience.

PJ Cares: An Employee-Led Initiative
We enjoyed this opportunity to support their growth and creativity and remain committed to fostering meaningful connections through PJ Cares, our employee-led initiative focused on community impact. By engaging in hands-on projects and mentorship, we strive to cultivate curiosity, confidence, and leadership in future artists, designers, and innovators.

At Phillip Jeffries, we believe in the power of giving back to our community.
