Why Should I Order A Wallcovering Sample?
We are so glad you asked! Material samples are a helpful tool when decorating a space. A sample shows color, quality, and an item's product specifications. This will help you determine how a wallcovering will look and work within your project. Plus, you’ll be able to get a good idea of what your long-term experience will be like working with Phillip Jeffries.

How To Order A Wallcovering Sample Online
Our website is open 24 hours a day. So you can shop PJ in your PJs! First set up an account at PhillipJeffries.com. We offer samples at no cost to the design trade. Our account program is open to interior designers as well as architects, home-developers, set-designers, home-stagers, and professionals in the hospitality industries. 

Phillip Jeffries knows that choosing the perfect wallcovering for your home or business can be a daunting task and we aim to make the process simple. If it’s your first foray into the world of wallcoverings, it’s can easily get overwhelming because there are quite a few design elements to consider – color palette, design style, pattern, texture, and installation requirements, to name a few!

Once you find the wallcovering type and color that you're interested in sampling, simply add it to your cart by clicking the orange button that reads ADD SAMPLE. Don't forget to check the stock availability located just above the orange button! When you are done shopping, click on the shopping bag at the top right hand corner to begin the check out process.  All samples ordered by 5pm EST will ship the same day.* You will then receive an email with the shipping confirmation for all samples ordered.

Shop the Sample Wall
When shopping in a showroom, a Phillip Jeffries salesperson is always on hand to help you as much or as little as you need. Our sales representatives are the best in the business, and they are highly skilled at helping designers find exactly what they're looking for. We can pull items for you in advance or help you shop in person. Our showrooms offer several areas to spread out and work on a project.

At every showroom, we make sampling easy with our sample pegboard. The wall display as shown above is stocked with popular wallcoverings in an array of colors. Anyone is welcome to pull from our colorful and most popular Phillip Jeffries wallcovering collections displayed here. It's better than a candy store!

The Phillip Jeffries Sample Library
Our showrooms are stocked with an extensive sample library of our collections. We work tirelessly to replenish stock and meet the needs of our clients. At the bustling Atlanta showroom, the sales team processes about a hundred samples a day!

"I never turn anyone away. I always want people to take a sample," says Shonda Davidson, Atlanta's sample librarian. "Some people come in and they don't have an account with us because their designer has told them to come into the showroom. When placing a wallcovering sample order, I always let people know when to expect their samples if I'm mailing them. We are here to help you!"

What Should I Look For When I Receive The Sample?
Upon opening the package, thoroughly inspect the quality of the product sample. If your box did have damage, see if the product was affected. Then look to see how the product compares to the description and test the sample to ensure it lives up to any claims or specifications.

What Collections Offer Samples?
Phillip Jeffries has more than a million yards of wallcovering (more than 2,200 items!) in stock at our giant warehouse. We know that's a lot of items, and it's sometimes easy to get overwhelmed, which is why we aim to make the design process simple and easy with our state-of-the-art sampling department. You can order a sample of ANY of our wallcoverings.

"It's definitely a simple process," says Shonda. "Sometimes we'll get a call to order a sample. We'll get it mailed out to you right away. And when ordering online, the picture is there when you order so you can make sure it's the right pattern and everything."

What Types of Samples Does Phillip Jeffries Have?
Our Wallcovering samples come in several sizes including the standard sizes shown below in the tray. For collections that have larger patterns such as our murals, a larger sample is sometimes available to show the scale and size of the pattern. We call these WOW samples! "It's on paper so you don't feel the texture," says Shonda, holding a WOW sample of Shangri La. "But you can see the whole pattern and scale." The gorgeous, climbing garden design of Shangri-La is inspired by chinoiserie artwork. Order your sample today!


PRO TIP: Consider ordering wallcovering samples in different variations — like different colors and styles — to help you find the perfect item (and texture!) for your project. Selecting more than one sample of a specific product allows you to compare each for color and quality consistencies.


Shop The Showroom With QR Codes
Phillip Jeffries prides ourselves on staying technologically advanced with all our systems and are constantly looking for ways to make the design process easy and simple. When shopping in the Phillip Jeffries showroom, you'll also find QR Codes on all the wing boards. Simply use a smart phone to scan the code and go directly to the product page where you can order your sample online. These samples will be shipped to your home. 

Should I Return A Wallcovering Sample?
Great question! We are happy to share samples with our clients so you can see the excellent quality and craftsmanship we stand by. And while it's not required, Phillip Jeffries will happily accept returned samples. Simply drop them off at a showroom near you. We do hope you keep and use the samples as you see fit.

"Sometimes people keep samples for their library or offices just to have," says Shonda. "Otherwise, we encourage samples to be returned. I scan them back in and put them back in the drawers."
