Modern Makeovers: 4 Rooms And 4 Wallcoverings

See stunning before/after images of Phillip Jeffries wallcovering. From curated color palettes to lustrous patterns and luxe textures, these four projects showcase how a designer’s vision comes to life.

Whether their clients are just moving in, or are ready to reimagine their space, designers use wallcovering to completely transform any space. The right pattern, texture, and color make the personality of a home – and its homeowners – shine through. When the client says, serene or dramatic, bold color or all neutral,  bohemian or subtle sophistication, designers know they can rely on Phillip Jeffries wallcovering to elevate a room.

Floral Bedroom Makeover
New Jersey-based design firm Modern Vintage Home relies on Phillip Jeffries wallcoverings for its array of colors and textures. For a primary bedroom, Co-Founder Rachel Carosiello chose our Blossom mural in Taupe to soften the entire room and instantly bring a serene vibe. The light and airy room is completely transformed when wrapped in our immersive mural featuring blossoming magnolia branches with a painterly touch.

“We go to PJ before we go to any other vendors because there are so many great options, so many great textures." said Rachel. "And samples come the next day, making it so easy.”

Dramatic Dining Room
In another home, they reimagined the traditional dining room to meet the taste of their contemporary-minded clients, installing Parasol Stitch in Sunkissed Tan.

Modern Vintage Home updated this traditional dining room to meet their client's contemporary taste. “They really let us go for it!” said Rachel. The project was the perfect moment for Parasol Stitch in Sunkissed Tan, a light reflecting wallcovering with a masculine hint that Rachel saw at a trade show and instantly loved. The result was a complete style turn from stale and staid to chic and sleek.

A Chic Home Office
A creative, color-loving owner brought in Toronto maximalist designer Cynthia Ferguson to enliven a small high rise office/guest room. The horizontal lines of Vinyl Zebrawood in Farmhouse Brown elongated the room and brought just enough texture and color to fill the small office to the brim with personality.

“We spec PJ in every single project we do, and always have,” said Cynthia. “Nobody does color better, and they are constantly coming up with new collections so we can show fresh designs for our projects.”

 A Bright Breakfast Nook
When designer Francesca Meder saw the high ceilings and windows in this Chicagoland breakfast noon, she knew it called for a wow factor. "There's always something you can change in a space to look completely different without having to start from scratch." said Francesca. "And I love using wallpaper to do that.”

She ordered a specialty large sample of Arrowroot Inlay in Denim to show her client how the hand-laid grasscloth details would make the room a three-dimensional showstopper. She chose a bold blue knowing its intricate hand laid pattern would be a timeless style in that color. Francesca credits PJ Customer Service in helping her get her client to “a total YES” by delivering the sample and walking her client through every detail of the wallcovering’s construction.

Francesca relies on PJ’s customer service to help her clients see her design vision. From providing custom samples to walking clients through how a wallcovering is constructed: “PJ customer service is amazing!”
